In one lineCellect connects construction-development workflows across funding, project administration and accounting, with document intake, source-linked records and approval routing.

Funding, building and bookkeeping

Cellect targets mid-size property developers and construction firms. Its official homepage groups the advertised work into funding, building and bookkeeping: proforma underwriting and financing models; zoning, budgets and loan draws; and payables, bank reconciliation and financial statements. It is not presented as a general chatbot for construction questions.

The service lists invoice extraction, transaction classification, bank reconciliation, and intake through Slack or email. Its integration list includes QuickBooks Online, AppFolio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Slack. That gives an operations team concrete systems to ask about during a demonstration, rather than assuming every existing project system is supported.

From incoming documents to approved work

Cellect's workflow explanation says agents pick up work from email, Slack or shared drives, watch inboxes and bank feeds, and cross-reference documents against records, budgets and communications. Described outputs include filed data-room documents, prepared signature packages, and RFIs or change orders drafted from source documents.

The approval boundary is important. Clear payables and transactions go to accounting, while unclear cases go to the deal team. The publisher says approved work is then booked and filed. Its stated principles also reserve exceptions and consequential commitments for approval within the authority a customer delegates.

The same explanation describes preserving prior versions and keeping each number linked to its source. These are vendor-described recordkeeping features, not an independent audit of the underlying accounting results.

Start with a narrow operational test

For an initial evaluation, choose one project and a small set of permitted documents rather than connecting every bank feed immediately. Ask the publisher to demonstrate an invoice moving from intake through coding, exception handling and approval. Check which source supports each number and what happens when a document is corrected.

The published screenshots are labelled illustrative data. They should not be treated as evidence of results from your own projects, and this overview has not tested the integrations. The homepage offers contact-led access rather than documenting a self-service installation process. Confirm onboarding, supported permissions, review responsibilities and commercial terms with the team.

Cellect is most relevant where funding records, construction administration and accounting repeatedly refer to the same project facts. It is worth evaluating on whether those facts remain traceable across the handoffs, not on broad promises about automation speed.
