Contractors can upload or transcribe a project scope for AI estimating. The pricing FAQ says estimates can use project-location rates for locations in the United States. That localization is a publisher-described feature, rather than a guarantee that a bid includes every condition at a particular site. Scale includes AI takeoffs from residential plans up to 5,000 square feet. Contractors working on larger plans should confirm the supported scope with Handoff before assuming the same workflow applies. Scale also supports proposal customization, up to five estimate options, and client feedback.
Keep project administration with the estimate
Handoff's client portals bring documents, approvals, and invoices together. The project tools described on the site include scheduling, daily logs, photos and files, change orders, and time tracking. Milestone invoicing links billing to phases of the project. Team access controls determine which staff can see sensitive billing, margin, and client information.
The feature comparison lists QuickBooks Online, Google Calendar, MagicPlan, and Zapier integrations. It also describes API and MCP connections for internal tools and compatible AI assistants. Flex includes fifty AI usage credits per month, one custom pricing catalog, and two users. Pro includes unlimited AI usage credits and pricing catalogs, five users, site walkthroughs, project management, and Success Coach onboarding.
The comparison defines a credit as one AI interaction. The homepage offers a seven-day trial without a credit card, giving a contractor an opportunity to examine the estimating workflow before selecting a plan. Review the billing commitment and the required project features alongside the price; an estimating-only workflow and a project-management rollout involve different requirements.
