In one lineCoursebox embeds an AI tutor inside courses, using uploaded training content with configurable source restrictions, retraining, and plan-based message allowances.

Coursebox AI Tutor answers learners' questions inside a course using the creator's training material. The publisher supports documents, videos, website links, and existing Coursebox courses as sources. It targets onboarding and subject-specific training where learners need help finding or understanding an approved procedure.

Configure the content boundary

Coursebox says creators can restrict the tutor to uploaded handbooks, policies, or guides and switch off access to wider training data. That setting matters if a course should answer from your organization's procedures rather than offer a general explanation. Test questions that are outside the approved material to see how the configured tutor responds.

The page advertises more than 100 languages and an embedded interface, so learners do not need a separate chat application. Its examples cover sales, hospitality, safety, and clinical training. Those examples describe intended settings, not proof that a generated answer is suitable for an emergency or medical decision. Keep authoritative procedures accessible and retain professional oversight for high-stakes material.

When the underlying course changes, Coursebox says you can retrain the tutor from the editor. It specifies source documents under 240 MB. Check that the updated version answers a few important questions correctly before treating the new training material as active.

Decide how to deliver the course

Creators can choose which courses have a tutor and change its name, image, and personality. A branded tutor should still identify the relevant policy or lesson rather than sound authoritative without support. Review its answers with the instructor or subject owner before broader rollout.

The tutor's availability depends on the export path. Coursebox says its standard API-connected SCORM package keeps the tutor working while the course remains published, but a standalone self-hosted SCORM package excludes it. The pricing page also says dynamic SCORM needs an active subscription. An offline course export therefore should not be assumed to include live AI assistance.

Budget messages and review data terms

The free plan lists three mini courses, up to five pages each, and 100 AI tutor messages as a one-time allowance. Unlimited learners does not mean unlimited AI messages. Paid plans raise those allowances, and creators should confirm current usage and seat requirements before a large training launch.

Coursebox says its AI runs on Microsoft Azure OpenAI and that uploaded material is not used to train public models. Those are vendor statements, not evidence that every deployment meets your organization's regulatory or contractual requirements.

Enterprise has separate contractual terms, including a stated minimum two-year initial term. The pricing page distinguishes Enterprise security reviews and custom hosting arrangements from self-serve plans. Confirm the required agreement and data handling before uploading regulated training content.
