Move recurring work into a shared workspace

type.com hosts agent workflows on managed cloud machines so a useful automation can be run by a team. The product describes support for full agent harnesses, including tools, a terminal and a filesystem, alongside deterministic scripts and reusable skills.

The intended user is a company whose recurring work currently lives in one person's assistant account or on a laptop. A weekly reporting workflow, for example, can gather data, calculate metrics in a script and prepare a report through an agent. The website's illustrated reports are demonstrations, rather than evidence that Franklin ran those tasks.

Control connections and inspect each run

Shared integrations are central to the product. Its page describes permissions by user, workspace, role and tool call, with credentials managed outside workflow code. That can make a shared connection more useful than distributing individual credentials to everyone who needs the same report.

The runtime also advertises isolated virtual machines, cloud browsers, schedules, webhooks, checkpointed retries and duplicate tracking. Run history records inputs, steps, outputs and cost. These are vendor-described capabilities; the illustrated success percentage and spending figures should not be read as independently measured reliability.

For an initial evaluation, use a reporting task with a clear output and limited connection permissions. Inspect what happens when a step fails, whether a retry repeats an external action and who can change the schedule. Those observations matter more than the appearance of a successful demonstration.

Check the plan and product identity

The captured FAQ lists plans starting at $50 per month for two team members and $100 of monthly AI usage, with a 14-day trial. Confirm current limits and how usage is charged before moving a recurring workload.

The FAQ also distinguishes type.com from type.ai, a separate writing editor with separate accounts and plans. This page covers the managed agent platform, not that editor.
