What Prometeu brings together

Prometeu is a free, open-source desktop workspace for people running coding agents across projects. It groups conversations with files, terminals and previews, so following several tasks does not require keeping their context in a collection of unrelated terminal windows.

The project lists Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI and Antigravity integrations, while explicitly noting that their capabilities differ. Users bring their own supported provider accounts or subscriptions; model access is not included with the application.

How the workflow handles parallel work

Separate Git worktrees give tasks their own checkouts. A user can inspect a unified or side-by-side diff, leave feedback and select what to stage or commit. GitHub and Linear work can provide starting context, with pull-request activity and CI status kept near the conversation.

Worktrees separate changes, but they are not a security sandbox. The project says agents retain the file and process access of the user account. That distinction matters when deciding which projects and tools to expose to an agent.

Local use, optional Cloud and a first trial

The documented release downloads support Apple-silicon macOS and Linux x86_64. The project’s text lists limitations for other architectures and notes that some integrations require a source build. Check the current installation instructions for the intended agent rather than assuming every capability is shared.

Local work needs no Prometeu account. Optional Cloud features add organizations, shared catalogs and phone access, with the owner’s computer still running the agents. Phone access therefore depends on that machine staying awake and connected.

A useful first task is a small repository change with a clear acceptance check. Follow one agent, inspect its diff and complete the review loop before adding parallel tasks. This tests whether the workspace improves visibility and review for the work you actually do.
