Cadence
Cadence combines screen recording with AI-assisted voice and presentation editing. The official site positions it for asynchronous demonstrations and tutorials: record the explanation first, then apply voice changes or other finishing tools. It should not be confused with a live-call accent changer.
Record the explanation
The Chrome extension can capture a tab, an application or the whole screen. The publisher also describes camera and microphone recording, cursor emphasis and drawing tools such as arrows and text. Those controls can help direct attention during a demonstration instead of relying on a viewer to follow every cursor movement.
Cadence lists live blur for sensitive parts of a recording, but a blur control is not proof that every private detail has been hidden. Inspect the finished clip before sharing it, especially if the demonstration includes account information or customer records.
The editor offers trimming, cutting, muting, cropping and captions. Uploaded audio can be used as an overlay or replacement. These are useful distinctions when the screen footage is correct but the explanation needs a shorter take or a separate voiceover.
Apply voice changes after recording
The product FAQ explicitly describes recording first and applying AI afterward. Accent conversion is presented as preserving the speaker's words and timing; that is the publisher's intended behavior, not a measured quality guarantee. Listen for changed names, technical terms and meaning before publishing a processed voice track.
Cadence lets you toggle between the original recording and AI-enhanced audio. Keeping that comparison available gives the editor a way to decide whether processing actually improved a particular sentence. The site also describes AI dubbing and an avatar option that lip-syncs a corner presenter to the voice.
Separate recording from AI allowance
The pricing FAQ describes a 30-minute monthly Pro allowance shared across accent conversion, dubbing and avatar generation. It resets each month. Reaching that AI allowance does not stop the separately advertised unlimited non-AI recording.
The trial description lists shorter per-clip accent processing, rather than unrestricted AI processing. Some platform availability is marked coming soon in the comparison, so confirm the exact client and feature you intend to use before subscribing. The captured pages also differ in how they describe translation and platform access; this overview does not turn those inconsistencies into universal availability promises.
Recording storage and AI processing are different privacy questions. Review the current handling of uploaded audio and video instead of assuming every AI operation stays on the recording device.
