APIMaster is a third-party API relay for accessing model channels through one host and an APIMaster key. Its documentation describes OpenAI-compatible endpoints and support for OpenAI and Claude protocol families. The relay is separate from the companies that develop the models it lists.

Check compatibility beyond changing the endpoint

APIMaster describes configuring an SDK or CLI to use its base URL and key. Its documentation names tools such as Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, Cline and LiteLLM. That is an integration claim, not a guarantee that every feature of those tools or every upstream API is supported.

Check the exact endpoint, request fields and model identifier your application needs. Start with non-sensitive test inputs and handle errors before routing production work through a new provider. A successful basic request would not establish compatibility with streaming, tool calls or another specialized workflow unless you test those operations too.

Inspect the selected model channel

The documentation says its marketplace groups channels by model and displays pricing and detection-history signals. Those signals are the service's own method of describing a route; they do not independently establish model identity or official authorization from a model developer.

The model-list documentation says actual calls should follow the models returned by its models endpoint. Model names and channels can change, so verify the currently available identifier rather than copying an old example into a long-running job. Inspect any route-specific limits and provider terms before relying on it.

Review cost and data handling together

The English documentation advertises savings of up to 70% against official pricing and says the console manages quota and usage. Treat that as an upper-bound marketing claim. Compare the actual channel rate, billing units and usage for your workload rather than assuming every request receives the same discount. Reference prices in a marketplace are not your final bill.

Routing requests through a relay introduces another service handling prompts and responses. Check its current retention, privacy and processing terms before sending client information or proprietary code. The overview does not supply those details or establish a universal service-level commitment.

Keep the relay key out of source files and public logs, and set appropriate usage limits in the console. If a workflow depends on an official provider feature or contractual protection, confirm that the third-party route supplies it rather than inferring equivalence from protocol compatibility.
