DiffHook monitors changes on public web pages, feeds and APIs, then routes detected changes to notification channels or downstream systems. Its documentation defines a monitor as a URL, a check interval and a destination. Configure what a monitor watches

The documented process polls a URL on a schedule and compares each snapshot with the last. When it detects a change, DiffHook sends a structured page.changed event to the configured endpoint. The webhook POST contains the diff, monitor metadata and timestamps. Monitors can be paused or triggered on demand.

The product page describes watching an entire page or a selected element, such as a price, policy clause or status badge. It advertises filters for layout and cosmetic changes. Choose a scope that expresses the information you need, then inspect sample events to see whether the detected differences are actionable. A page's changing navigation should not accidentally trigger a business decision.

Connect the event to an accountable workflow

The API uses bearer-token authentication and JSON responses. DiffHook describes signed webhook delivery, automatic retries and a change history. Keep the receiving workflow able to inspect the evidence behind an alert, particularly where a change prompts a policy review or customer communication.

Polling is scheduled. A claimed short delivery time after detection does not remove the interval between checks, so choose the polling frequency according to how quickly your team needs to notice a change. The captured documentation does not establish a service-level guarantee for a particular monitored site.

Budget for both monitors and checks

The pricing page lists monthly billing at $12 for Starter, $29 for Pro and $79 for Business. Starter includes 20 monitors, 15,000 monthly lightweight checks and 15-minute polling. Pro lists 100 monitors, 150,000 checks and five-minute polling; Business lists 500 monitors, 750,000 checks and one-minute polling.

Visual checks have separate allowances of 2,000, 10,000 and 50,000 per month respectively. The page advertises a 14-day Starter trial. Log history also varies by tier, so verify retention before relying on the service as an archive.

The captured add-on section gives conflicting prices for extra visual checks and monitors. Confirm the applicable add-on rate at checkout instead of calculating an expansion budget from those labels. For a first monitor, a public URL and a destination that records the full diff will let you assess the event format before attaching consequential actions.
