Monologue combines voice dictation, voice notes and bot-free meeting transcription. The publisher lists support for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with a workflow that turns speech into text in the application you are using. Longer recordings can become notes that you revisit and organize.

Dictate into the app you already use

The Monologue homepage describes writing coding prompts, team updates, messages and email by speaking. It also describes using nearby code context to get file names and technical terms right. Check those details before submitting a prompt or message; contextual formatting is not a guarantee that every dictated name is correct.

For a Mac-focused alternative, FluidVoice also inserts dictation into the active text field and describes local transcription with optional post-processing. Monologue's documented scope extends to voice notes, meetings and multiple Apple devices, so compare the workflow you need rather than only the speech-to-text label.

Keep longer recordings useful

The Monologue guides describe recording meetings and ideas, then working with transcripts, summaries, speakers and tags. Synced Voice Notes can be searched, edited, organized and shared from a browser. The guides also cover teaching the app names and terminology and changing writing style through modes and instructions.

Separate a transcript from a summary when checking an important decision. Review names, numbers and commitments against the recording before sharing a meeting note. Bot-free recording describes how the product captures meetings; it does not remove the need to obtain appropriate participant consent.

Check the trial and subscription

The captured pricing page lists Pro at $15 per month with monthly billing, or $144 per year, equivalent to $12 per month. The free trial lists 1,000 dictation words and ten recorded notes, with offline transcription, context-aware formatting and more than 100 languages among the listed features.

Confirm the trial duration, supported processing choices and current account terms before depending on it for repeated recording. The mention of offline transcription does not establish that every sync, summary or connected-agent operation runs offline.

The app's setup guides describe granting permissions on Mac and enabling its keyboard on iPhone or iPad. Start with a short, non-sensitive dictation and check what it inserts. A useful evaluation should cover both the immediate text-entry task and how you retrieve a longer note later.
