GPT Workspace

Adds ChatGPT to Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail and Drive so you can write, translate, summarise and analyse data without leaving Workspace.

What it does

GPT Workspace adds a ChatGPT-based assistant to Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail and Drive. It is meant for people who write, translate, summarize or clean up data inside Google Workspace and prefer not to copy content into a separate chat.

Key features

  • Runs a prompt over a selected range in Google Sheets to fill or analyse it
  • Cleans lists and normalizes names, addresses, dates and phone numbers
  • Classifies and categorizes large datasets in a spreadsheet
  • Helps draft SEO metadata, ad copy and product catalogue text
  • Writes, edits, translates and summarizes text in Docs, Slides and Gmail

Use cases

  • Standardizing a messy contact list in a spreadsheet
  • Tagging hundreds of product rows by category
  • Summarizing a long document without leaving Google Docs

Getting started

Open a Google Workspace app, select the text or cell range you want to work on, then enter a prompt in GPT Workspace.
