CUDA
What does “CUDA” mean?
CUDA: Nvidia's software platform for programming its GPUs to do general-purpose computing. Most major AI frameworks and libraries were built to run on CUDA, and that large software ecosystem is a major reason Nvidia hardware dominates AI. CUDA runs only on Nvidia GPUs.

What is an example of “CUDA”?
Rival chipmakers offer their own software stacks, such as AMD's ROCm, partly to compete with CUDA's head start.
