JSON2Video
Create and render videos from templates and media through JSON2Video’s hosted or local MCP server.
Overview
JSON2Video exposes video-production operations to MCP clients. The project describes composing a video from reusable templates, adding voiceovers and subtitles, rendering in the cloud and retrieving the resulting video URL. It suits workflows that repeatedly populate a template with different text, images or product information. The server can be connected remotely or run locally through the project CLI. A remote connection can use account authorization, while API-key access is documented for other environments. Rendering runs as a job whose progress the assistant can check.
Getting started
Use the repository’s connection guide to add the hosted MCP URL and authorize a JSON2Video account, or configure the local CLI server. Select the method appropriate to your MCP client.
Compatibility and requirements
Requires the selected MCP transport and a JSON2Video account or documented API credentials.
Things to know
Renders consume account credits. The remote upload tool accepts public URLs; local media requires the documented dashboard or local-server workflow.
