Throng MCP

Delegate a coding task from an MCP client to a configured Agent Client Protocol harness.

Overview

Throng MCP passes a task from an MCP client to another coding agent through the Agent Client Protocol. It supports several installed command-line agents and can describe a custom ACP harness in configuration. The distinction is between the client that requests the task and the separate program that runs it. It can help organize a handoff to a second tool with a particular model or environment.

Getting started

Configure the Node package as a local MCP server, install and sign in to the agent CLIs you need, and add the required ACP adapters for the chosen harnesses.

Things to know

Throng does not install or sign in to the receiving agents. Permission and approval behavior depends on the receiving harness and its configuration.
