Perplexity has launched Sonar, an API service aimed at the enterprise AI search market, directly challenging competitors like Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic with superior performance and lower prices. The service is available in two tiers: a basic Sonar and a more robust Sonar Pro, targeting different enterprise needs with varying levels of citation density and query complexity.
