Microsoft testing 45 percent M365 price hikes in Asia to make sure you can enjoy AI

The company claims these hikes are necessary to provide users with access to new AI features like Copilot and Designer. While subscribers can opt for a lower-priced version without Copilot, finding this option is difficult, and a "Classic SKU" alternative is not readily available.

Customer reactions have been largely negative, with many accusing Microsoft of price gouging, especially in regions with high living costs. Microsoft stated that these price changes are a test to "listen, learn, and improve," but did not confirm if similar increases will occur in other regions.
