Humane's Ai Pin, once hailed as a smartphone replacement, is ending as HP acquires its assets for $116 million. HP will gain over 300 patents, some Humane employees, and the Cosmos operating system, but the Ai Pin hardware is effectively discontinued with refunds offered to recent buyers.
Existing Ai Pins will cease functioning on February 28, with user data being deleted. HP plans to integrate Humane's AI into its products, tasking former Humane engineers to create smart features across its product line. Additionally, Apple is enhancing its Vision Pro with improved guest mode and a new Spatial Gallery app, while Eero introduces more affordable Wi-Fi 7 mesh routers.
Oppo claims its Find N5 folding phone is the thinnest, and Eufy's new smart lock uses palm-vein recognition for keyless entry.
