Anthropic has made its managed Claude offering on Google Cloud generally available. The October 22 announcement says customers can access the full Claude Platform feature set while using Google Cloud authentication, billing and commitment retirement. The service exists alongside a Google-managed offering with a different data-processing arrangement.
Full platform features through a cloud access layer
In Anthropic’s announcement, the Anthropic-managed route uses existing Google Cloud IAM credentials and a single cloud invoice. Usage can draw down an existing Google Cloud commitment.
Anthropic says new features and betas arrive on the same day as on its native platform. Listed capabilities include code execution, computer use, files, citations, prompt caching and batch processing, alongside features that retain their own beta status. General availability of the access route should not be read as removing the beta label from every included capability.
The data processor depends on the route
Anthropic operates the Anthropic-managed service and acts as its data processor. The announcement identifies US and Global endpoints for that offering.
The Google-managed path remains available for customers who need Google Cloud as the data processor, stricter regional residency requirements or native Google Cloud integrations. That makes the choice more specific than deciding where an invoice comes from. Organizations need to compare the actual processing and integration requirements of the workload.
Check feature access and commercial terms together
The announcement also includes Claude Console access and Fast Mode on Claude Opus 5.5, with the stated speed improvement attributed to Anthropic. This article does not independently benchmark that mode.
A practical evaluation can begin with an existing API workflow and check the required feature, endpoint and IAM setup. Customers with an existing discount are told to contact their Anthropic or Google Cloud account team before starting, because discounts cannot be applied retroactively. The useful purchasing decision therefore combines platform capabilities, processing responsibility and confirmed commercial terms.
