Meta has officially launched its latest smart glasses in collaboration with Oakley, introducing the Oakley Meta HSTN. These glasses, based on Oakley's HSTN design, are targeted towards athletes and fans and represent an evolution in Meta's smart eyewear offerings. A key upgrade is the enhanced battery life, offering double the performance compared to the Meta Ray-Bans, and the ability to capture 3K video.

The glasses are equipped with a front-facing camera, open-ear speakers, and microphones, allowing users to listen to music, take photos, and manage calls. The Oakley Meta HSTN glasses integrate Meta AI, enabling users to ask questions, get real-time information, and even translate languages on the go.

The glasses offer up to eight hours of typical use and up to 19 hours on standby, with a quick-charging capability that provides 50% charge in just 20 minutes. The included charging case extends the usage time further, providing up to 48 hours of additional charging. They come in six frame and lens color combinations, with options for prescription lenses and some models featuring Oakley's Prizm Lens technology, designed for improved visibility in various conditions.

The limited-edition Oakley Meta HSTN with gold-colored accents is priced at $499, with preorders starting July 11. The rest of the collection starts at $399 and will be available later this summer. The glasses will be available in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

Meta plans to expand its availability to Mexico, India, and the United Arab Emirates later this year. This release marks the latest phase of a multi-year partnership between Meta and EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Oakley and Ray-Bans. This partnership has already proven successful, with over two million pairs of Meta Ray-Bans sold to date.

The Oakley Meta HSTN glasses aim to build on this success by offering enhanced features, improved performance, and a design tailored for active users.
