Google has announced significant updates to its Gemini 2.0 series of AI large language models, aiming to provide versatile and powerful tools for both consumers and enterprises. The company is releasing Gemini 2.0 Flash, introducing Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite, and rolling out an experimental version of Gemini 2.0 Pro, all accessible through Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.

Gemini 2.0 Flash is now production-ready, offering high-efficiency AI applications with a 1 million token context window, while Gemini 2.0 Flash-Lite provides a cost-effective solution outperforming its predecessor, Gemini 1.5 Flash, on key benchmarks. The experimental Gemini 2.0 Pro model features a 2 million-token context window and improved reasoning capabilities, integrating tools like Google Search and code execution.

Google is also enhancing AI safety and security measures, with plans to expand the models' capabilities with additional modalities in the future.
