Arlo is launching new AI-powered features with the Arlo Secure 6 update, enhancing the capabilities of its security cameras and video doorbells. The update introduces advanced audio detection, alerting users to critical sounds like screams, gunshots, barks, glass breaking, and smoke/CO alarms, as well as the detection of flames.
These features aim to provide immediate awareness of potentially dangerous or illegal activities, enabling users to quickly assess situations and contact emergency services when needed. The Arlo Secure 6 update also includes AI-generated captions that describe events in video footage.
This feature allows users to quickly understand what's happening without having to watch the entire clip. Moreover, a new video search tool is being introduced, similar to Ring's Smart Video Search, enabling users to find specific moments in their video history by searching for descriptions, keywords, or time frames.
These additions streamline the process of reviewing recorded footage and enhance the overall user experience.
