Alttextgenerator
Alt Text Generator is a browser tool for drafting descriptions of images. Its official page offers file upload and an image-URL route, then presents an AI-generated alt-text suggestion. It is useful to evaluate when an image library needs descriptive wording, but a generated description still needs the page author's judgment.
Provide an image with a clear purpose
The upload control lists JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF with a 5 MB limit per file. The documented process is upload, AI analysis and a suggested description. The page says the analysis detects objects and considers context; it does not establish that the tool knows every fact or purpose associated with the image.
Compare the suggested wording with the visible image and the surrounding page. Check names, product attributes, numbers and any detail the model may have inferred. A description of what appears in an image can differ from the information that matters to a reader using it in this particular article or product page.
Avoid adding keywords that the image does not support merely because the service markets SEO-friendly text. This overview does not establish search performance or compliance with an accessibility standard.
Keep review and placement in the workflow
Automatic integration into a website is explicitly marked coming soon. So are the listed WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify connections. Do not plan a current automated media-library update around those labels.
The page also marks bulk upload and CSV download as upcoming. The single-image description workflow is better supported by the captured controls than a claim that the service can already process and publish hundreds of descriptions at once.
For an evaluation, review a small set of different images, including one with embedded text or an ambiguous object. Keep the original suggestion and your corrected version so a teammate can see what changed. These are suggested checks, not results from images we submitted.
Check credits and current access
The pricing page lists paid plans with monthly credits: 500 for Basic, 2,000 for Pro and 5,000 for Business. It does not explain the exact credit charge per operation or the complete terms of the free-trial button.
Confirm the allowance, billing conditions and image-handling terms before uploading confidential material or scheduling a large task. Publisher claims about accurate descriptions, search rankings and accessibility are not independent test results. Use the output as a draft, with responsibility for the final wording and deployment remaining with the site owner.
