Dreambeans is an experimental Google app that creates a daily feed of personalized stories from the Google services you choose to connect. Its official page describes ideas for places to visit, topics to explore, activities, and events, illustrated with generated artwork. It is currently offered to adults in the United States using a personal Google account.
Choose which personal sources it can use
Dreambeans requires at least one connected app to build a feed. Available sources include Gemini, Gmail, Calendar, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search history. You can choose a combination rather than granting access to everything.
Consider what each connection adds before enabling it. An account containing personal email or photographs can supply context you would not put into a general search query. Review permissions and the current privacy terms, especially when the connected material includes information about other people.
Google says the settings you choose in Dreambeans do not change your choices in Gemini Apps or AI Mode. Manage those products separately instead of assuming one app's permission screen controls all personal-context use across Google. The app's profile settings let users change connections, review feedback history, and delete Dreambeans data.
Daily stories take time to change
The first set of stories can take up to a day to prepare. New stories then arrive daily, with in-app notifications when they are ready. This is a daily recommendation flow rather than an immediate response to every edit you make.
The tuning controls and thumbs-down feedback let users correct a detail, reject a recommendation, or say a subject is not for them. Google explains that feedback is processed overnight and affects future drops; it does not immediately rewrite the current stories. Keep that timing in mind if a recommendation remains visible after you have corrected it.
Some stories include actions such as opening ticket information or watching a trailer. Check the destination for current availability and details rather than treating the generated story as a booking confirmation or authoritative event notice.
Personalized illustrations can still be wrong
Google describes the artwork as AI-generated. When a scene includes you or people in your life, Dreambeans uses Google Photos and Nano Banana 2 to personalize it. Photos face grouping must be enabled for that behavior.
A plausible illustration is not a documentary photograph, and the official page warns that the app can produce mistakes or weak recommendations. Review a story before sharing it or making plans around it. Use the tuning controls for inaccurate details, and remove connected sources if their contribution is not useful enough to justify the access.
