RepoClip
RepoClip creates product demo videos from GitHub repositories. It analyzes source files to identify features and build a script, then adds generated visuals and narration. Developers can use the output for feature announcements, project promotion or a presentation that explains what a repository does.
From repository URL to video
Public repositories work by pasting a GitHub URL. Private repositories require connecting a GitHub account and a paid plan. The RepoClip product page lists TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Kotlin and Swift among supported languages, and says repositories with readable source files can be analyzed.
Custom instructions can influence narration tone, voice, visual style and content focus. Narration uses preset synthetic voices; RepoClip does not offer voice cloning. The publisher says generation time varies with repository size and demand, so the homepage's quick-generation headline should not be treated as a fixed turnaround for every project.
Visual modes and output limits
Image mode uses generated still images as scene backgrounds. Video Short uses five generated clips, described as roughly twenty-five seconds, while Video Long uses eighteen clips and roughly ninety seconds. Video Long is restricted to Agency. All videos export as MP4 files with H.264 encoding.
The pricing page specifies 720p output with a logo watermark for Free and Starter. Pro adds 1080p and removes the watermark; Agency lists 4K and watermark-free output. Pro and Agency use Kling 3.0 Pro clips, while Free and Starter list LTX-2.3. Those plan differences affect the files you can actually download, even when the repository input is the same.
Credits and release automation
The captured plans include one free Image video monthly. An Image generation consumes ten credits, Video Short forty, and Video Long three hundred. A one-time $5 pack supplies forty credits. The page displays monthly and annual choices, so confirm the selected billing term before comparing the listed subscription prices.
RepoClip provides a public API and an official GitHub Action for CI/CD workflows. The API documentation describes starting generation, checking project status and reading the remaining credit balance. Requests can set the mode, aspect ratio and visual style, with custom instructions limited to five hundred characters. Its release-triggered Action example shows how a team could add a generated video's share link to a GitHub release. Check the generated script and visuals before sharing a demo as a description of your software.
