Notion AI brings AI assistance into the workspace where you keep pages, project plans and databases. Notion's help documentation describes an assistant that can use workspace context and connected apps to answer questions and complete tasks. Enterprise Search can draw on accessible Notion pages, connected services such as Slack or Google Drive, and web information.

Research Mode supports more complex or open-ended queries on Business and Enterprise plans. Notion gives examples such as investigating a hypothesis or producing a project report using workspace material and web sources.

Ask an agent to change pages and databases

Notion Agent can create and edit pages and databases using context from your workspace and connected apps. You can supply instructions and skills to shape its responses. The product also supports database creation with views and properties, including relations, and AI-assisted writing or editing of formulas.

For database content, AI can populate properties or add summaries and keywords. You can also upload a file in chat. Notion describes reading those files and producing downloadable outputs such as spreadsheets, PDFs or slide decks for more involved requests.

Edit writing and capture meetings

Inline AI helps you revise selected text, adjust tone or length, fix grammar and translate page content. It can draft outlines, emails and tables using the context you provide. You can accept a proposed edit, discard it or ask Notion AI to try again.

AI blocks generate an output within a page, such as a summary or selected key points. You can specify context and regenerate the block later. Notion also documents AI Meeting Notes, currently labelled beta, for transcription, summaries and searchable meeting information.

Check workspace access and controls

Notion AI is available on Business and Enterprise plans. Free and Plus users receive limited complimentary responses to try its features. Certain features have usage allowances, and premium models require Notion credits and an owner or administrator to enable them.

Owners can configure connectors and web-search settings, including whether external web requests require confirmation.
