Enzo brings dictation and meeting transcription to the Mac

Enzo is a Mac assistant that combines dictation, meeting transcription and chat. It is designed for people who want to speak into their existing apps or turn a meeting into notes they can find later. The publisher lists Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later as requirements.

What happens on the Mac?

Enzo says its dictation, meeting recording and transcription run without an internet connection. You can use dictation in an existing app and keep recordings and transcripts on the Mac. Meeting transcription can identify speakers, and AI-generated notes and follow-ups are a separate step with their own usage limits.

Recall is optional. When enabled, it keeps screen text, app names and window titles on the Mac so you can search what you were working on. Enzo says the stored records are encrypted and that Recall starts off. Its settings let you exclude apps and sites, pause recording or remove saved information.

Which features need an internet connection?

Chat can use meeting transcripts, saved Recall context and connected apps such as Mail or Calendar. Enzo says those online features send the information needed for the request through its service to an AI provider. That can include a question, transcript, screen image or attached file. It is worth checking which connections and features are enabled when setting up the assistant for work that involves sensitive material.

How does the free plan work?

Enzo’s free plan has no time limit. The publisher lists a weekly allowance of 5,000 dictated words and 50 meeting minutes. The paid plans raise usage limits, and the pricing page explains how chat, meeting notes and follow-ups are counted. When you reach the weekly limits on words or minutes, recordings and transcripts can still save, while dictation into apps and meeting notes wait for the reset.
