Butter Motion: generate editable motion graphics inside Premiere Pro
Butter Motion generates short animated scenes and graphics inside Adobe Premiere Pro. You describe the scene, select its timing and format, then tune the composition before using it in an edit. The publisher lists lower thirds, charts, interfaces and 3D animation among its uses.
Its appeal is the placement of that workflow inside the editing app. An editor can prepare a graphic for an existing sequence rather than moving the whole project into a separate video studio.
Describe the graphic and set its format
Butter Motion lets you set length, resolution, aspect ratio, frame rate and style. The page lists fifteen looks, including flat vector, typography, clay 3D and low-poly 3D. It also describes turning a screenshot into an animation.
Write a brief that names the information the viewer should see and when it should appear. For a lower third, that might mean the exact name and role, the intended screen position and enough time to read it. Check text against the source material before exporting the graphic.
The publisher also describes looking up live data for requested currency charts and weather scenes. Inspect the displayed dates and values before publication; the presence of a data lookup does not remove the need to verify the chart you show.
Tune the composition without starting over
The plugin exposes controls for color, text, font, speed and individual elements. Butter Motion says composition settings, previews, re-renders and exports are free, while AI generation spends credits. Asking the AI to rework a composition has separate credit terms, so distinguish that action from changing an exposed setting.
Saved cloud presets can help reuse a finished design. Confirm that a preset still contains the correct text and timing before applying it to another sequence. Reusing a layout is useful; carrying an old label into a new report is an easy mistake to miss.
Editors needing a separate generated clip can also compare Flowlio AI's browser-based video workflow, which accepts prompts and reference media. Butter Motion keeps its motion-graphics controls in a Premiere Pro panel.
Check export limits and machine compatibility
Butter Motion supports Premiere Pro 2022 or newer on Windows 10 or newer and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 11 or newer. DaVinci Resolve support is marked as coming soon on the captured page.
The FAQ lists MP4 and MOV output, with transparent ProRes 4444 export and resolutions up to 4K. It gives maximum lengths of twenty seconds for Flash and Ultra and ten seconds for Animation. Match those limits to the graphic you need rather than assuming a long scene can be generated in one request.
The publisher says rendering runs locally and project files remain on the computer, while prompts and attached images go to the AI. Review attached material before sending it. Test one graphic in a real sequence for readability, alpha handling and timing before adopting the plugin across a project.
