Somio creates music from text prompts, supplied lyrics, or reference audio. The publisher describes full songs with vocals and instrumental arrangements, as well as instrumental and acapella options. It also offers editing and visual tools around the generated track.
Set the musical direction before generating
Users can specify mood, genre, tempo, and vocal style. Somio describes choosing a song language even when the prompt uses another language. Those settings provide directions for generation, but Franklin has not tested how reliably a track follows them or how accurately lyrics are sung.
The My Voice feature asks users to upload and verify an audio sample. The platform also describes saving generated vocals as AI Singer voice models for later songs. Use only voice material you are authorized to supply, and review the current verification and storage terms before uploading it.
Refine a section instead of replacing the song
Somio lists extending a track, replacing a section, and remixing with a different style. These workflows may suit revising a draft without restarting the whole composition. Check the transition around an edited passage and listen for unwanted changes to the lyrics or musical direction.
The publisher also offers vocal removal and stem separation, plus lyric videos, music videos, and sound effects. Separating stems from an existing recording does not create permission to reuse that recording. Keep source rights in view when moving material between editing and generation tools.
Check exports and publication terms
The homepage lists MP3 and WAV downloads and ten credits for new users. That initial credit grant is a trial allowance, not evidence of unlimited free production. Inspect the cost of the generation or edit you want before planning a series of songs.
Somio describes generated tracks as usable for personal and commercial projects. Review the current license and the rights to any supplied lyrics, recordings, or voice samples; the publisher's copyright-free language is not a guarantee that a platform will never raise a claim.
