Chrome extension

Browser MCP

Lets Claude, Cursor, Codex and other MCP apps open pages, click and fill forms in your signed-in Chrome, each in a tab group you can watch.

What it does

Browser MCP connects AI apps such as Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Codex to your own Chrome so they can open pages, click, fill forms and read the screen while signed in. It suits developers and power users who want an AI agent to work in a real browser they can watch.

Key features

  • Lets MCP-compatible AI apps navigate, click, type and read pages in your Chrome
  • Keeps each connected AI app's tabs in a labelled, color-coded group so you can follow what it does
  • Includes a Stop button in the popup that pauses every connected agent
  • Requires you to confirm a code in the popup before anything runs
  • Stays out of incognito windows and Chrome's internal pages

Use cases

  • Having an AI agent fill out a long web form using your existing logins
  • Collecting data from several pages into a summary
  • Testing your own web app through an AI coding assistant

Getting started

Follow the developer's setup steps to register Browser MCP with your AI app, then click Allow in the extension popup to connect.

Good to know

The connection runs locally on your machine, and page content is passed to your AI app rather than to Browser MCP's servers. Because agents act with your signed-in sessions, keep an eye on what they do.
