ContentDetector.ai

Checks whether text reads as AI-written from a Chrome side panel and helps you edit sentences that sound robotic or machine-made.

What it does

ContentDetector.ai places an AI-writing detector and text editor in Chrome's side panel. It is for writers and editors who want sentence-level signals about text that reads as machine-made, and a place to revise those passages.

Key features

  • Scans pasted text, drafts written in its editor, or readable text from the current URL
  • Color-codes each sentence with a writing signal, from red to green
  • Stays open in the side panel as you switch between tabs
  • Includes a rewrite tool to revise robotic or formulaic passages
  • Reviews patterns in text without claiming to name which AI model wrote it

Use cases

  • Checking an AI-assisted draft before publishing
  • Reviewing submitted articles for formulaic wording
  • Revising a passage so it reads more naturally

Getting started

Open the ContentDetector.ai side panel, then paste text, write in the editor or choose Scan URL to pull in the page you are viewing.

Good to know

Detection results are writing signals, not proof of authorship, as the developer itself notes. Free scans are limited, and text you scan is sent to the developer's service.
