Chrome extension

Instant Data Scraper

Detects tables and lists on a web page and exports the data to Excel or CSV files without writing scraping scripts.

What it does

Instant Data Scraper looks at the structure of the page you have open in Chrome and guesses which table or list holds the data you want, then saves it as a spreadsheet. It suits researchers, marketers and analysts who need data from websites but do not write scraping code.

Key features

  • Predicts the most relevant table or list on a page by analysing its HTML structure
  • Lets you adjust the selection by hand when the automatic guess picks the wrong data
  • Follows next-page buttons or links and handles pages that load more items on scroll
  • Waits for dynamic content to load, with adjustable delay and maximum wait settings
  • Shows a preview of the extracted rows and exports them to XLS, XLSX or CSV files

Use cases

  • Pulling a product or directory listing spread over many pages into one spreadsheet
  • Copying a table from a smaller website that no ready-made scraper supports
  • Collecting lead or price lists for analysis without writing a script

Getting started

Open the page that holds the data, click the toolbar icon and check the table it detects. If needed, choose another selection or set up next-page crawling, then export to Excel or CSV.

Good to know

Detection is an estimate based on page structure, so complex layouts may need manual correction. Check each website's terms before collecting data from it.
