Temporal consistency
Also called video consistency
What does “Temporal consistency” mean?
Temporal consistency: How well a generated video keeps things stable from frame to frame and shot to shot. Weak consistency shows up as flickering textures, faces that subtly change, objects that appear or vanish, or a character wearing different clothes between scenes. It remains one of the hardest problems in AI video.

What is an example of “Temporal consistency”?
Creators making multi-shot stories often rely on reference images or character-locking features so the same person looks identical in every clip.
