Watermarking

Also called AI watermarking

What does “Watermarking” mean?

Watermarking: Embedding a hidden, machine-detectable signal in AI-generated text, images, audio or video so it can later be identified as synthetic. Good watermarks are invisible to people and survive common edits like cropping or compression, though determined users can often weaken or remove them. Google DeepMind's SynthID is one well-known system.
