This is honestly super upsetting. It’s a huge reminder that we need better ethical guardrails for this tech. I’m all in on AI for creative tools and medical breakthroughs, but using it to impersonate people after they pass is just wrong. We gotta get better at verifying content and respecting digital legacies.
I really hope the industry prioritizes authentication tools soon so we can focus on the amazing stuff AI can actually do instead of dealing with this gross misuse. It's a bummer for sure.
