Understand the measurement and its limits
RealSmile says it detects 68 facial landmarks before calculating measurements. Its about page notes that lighting, angle, and lens distance can change the results, and that two-dimensional photo analysis is less precise than three-dimensional imaging. Compare like-for-like photographs if you want to understand a difference rather than treating a score change as a physical change.
The publisher calls its Face Score validated against 1,566 human-rated faces, while distinguishing that score from individual geometry readings. That is its reported validation claim, not independent confirmation that the score describes a person's attractiveness, personality, or likely success on a dating platform.
The service includes photo comparisons and headshot or dating-photo audits. Use the output to examine how a particular image presents you, if that is useful to you. Do not use automated face scores to make medical choices, assess someone else's character, or pressure someone to change their appearance.
Keep scanning separate from public rating
RealSmile says desktop analysis runs in the browser, while mobile photos are processed in server memory and deleted after landmark measurement. It describes exceptions for saved scan photos, voluntarily submitted community images, and paid-audit thumbnails. Those are publisher data-handling statements, so read the current privacy terms before submitting a face photo.
