PaperBanana is a visual creation service aimed at researchers, students, and educators. The PaperBanana website describes scientific figures and academic illustrations generated from text, along with image-based generation and figure editing.
Figures and diagrams
You can describe an illustration in plain language and choose a style such as a flowchart, architecture diagram, concept map, or schematic. The product page also lists text-to-illustration and image-to-illustration capabilities.
Its scientific illustration tools produce SVG figures, and the Diagram Maker creates template-based SVG diagrams with editable labels, layers, colors, and layouts. The figure editor targets labels, panels, layers, and microscopy annotations. Those controls are useful when a research figure needs a specific layout or label change after the first generation.
The publisher calls the output publication-ready.
