Flow

Google Flow is an AI filmmaking tool for generating clips, scenes and stories. Its getting-started documentation is especially useful for checking access and generation settings before committing to a project. A subscription alone does not establish that the service is available where you live.

Confirm access before planning a shoot

Flow requires verified age of at least 18 and a supported region. The guide lists Google AI subscription routes and qualifying Workspace plans, but access varies by region and account. Google specifically warns that Flow is not available everywhere Google AI Pro is offered. A VPN does not enable access in an unsupported region.

For the fullest editing experience, Google recommends a desktop computer with a Chromium-based browser. The documentation also mentions the Flow app for creation on the go. Other browsers and mobile devices may work, but the guide warns that they are not fully optimized and can behave unexpectedly.

Check the model and generation cost

Model selection affects both available features and credit usage. Flow can switch to a compatible model when a requested feature is unavailable on the selected model. Check the resulting model and cost in settings before confirming a generation rather than assuming the original choice still applies.

The guide directs users to the in-product model settings for current credit costs. It also says failed generations should not consume credits. If a result initially seems absent, refreshing Flow is a documented troubleshooting step; an apparent billing error should be raised with support.

A zero-credit model is not a promise of unlimited throughput. Flow can rate-limit generation requests, particularly after substantial use during a day. Allow time to review outputs and revise prompts instead of treating generation as an unrestricted batch service.

Understand output marking and restrictions

Google says outputs made with Veo, Omni or Nano Banana include invisible SynthID watermarks. Visible marking is controlled separately through a profile-menu toggle, with automatic visible marking in specified countries. Turning off a visible mark does not remove the documented invisible identification.

Flow also applies content restrictions, including precautions around minors and uploaded photographs of people. A blocked request may reflect policy rather than a broken prompt or insufficient credits.

These access, cost and marking rules are part of the production workflow. Check them against the account and intended delivery requirements before relying on a generated clip. The captured guide supports the filmmaking scope, but it does not establish guaranteed character consistency or a successful result for a particular scene.
