Gaffa
Gaffa is a REST API for browser automation on cloud-hosted browsers. The official documentation describes specifying the site and actions through an API rather than configuring browser infrastructure yourself. Published uses include scraping, screenshots, printing pages and preparing content for AI workflows.
Request an action and its output
Gaffa renders JavaScript pages and abstracts some automation-framework features through its REST interface. The homepage explicitly says not every framework feature has been abstracted yet, so confirm that a required interaction is supported before replacing an existing script.
Outputs can include simplified HTML, Markdown and a self-contained offline copy of a page. Screen recording is offered for observability. Choose the output that the next step actually needs rather than fetching larger media or page snapshots without a purpose.
Use the service for authorized workflows and check the target site's access conditions. Managed browsers and proxy routing do not grant permission to retrieve restricted information or make account changes.
Compare the control interface
For an existing Playwright or Puppeteer script, Gologin Cloud Browser's session connection is a different approach: its documented session endpoint uses Chrome DevTools Protocol. Gaffa instead emphasizes a REST action interface. This is a choice of integration style, not a connection between the services.
Inspect a small representative flow before committing to a large automation. The captured overview does not establish the exact request schema, retry behavior or every supported action, so consult the API reference for implementation details.
Estimate credits and retained data
The homepage explains charging by browser runtime, proxy bandwidth and optional AI processing. Recording doubles the stated runtime credit rate. A plan's credit allowance is therefore not simply a fixed number of requests.
Plans also separate concurrent requests, maximum runtime and data retention. Introductory credits are a bounded account offer, and unused monthly credits do not roll over. When credits run out, retrieving past data remains available but new requests stop until capacity is restored.
Review how long outputs and recordings remain stored before supplying confidential page content. Keep the results your workflow needs within the selected retention window. This overview follows the published API and pricing descriptions; it does not execute a browser request, create an account or verify the claimed scale or access reliability.
