In one lineProtoface offers managed generative-media inference through an API and Studio, including a separately described realtime-avatar product.

Protoface is an inference platform for generative media. Its website presents an API, a browser playground, and Studio video plans. Developers can evaluate model requests without managing the underlying GPU infrastructure, while Studio offers a separate interface for creating media without writing an integration.

Test a model through the dashboard

The publisher describes a web dashboard for testing API calls and tracking usage. It also lists managed inference, higher enterprise concurrency, and enterprise service-level objectives. Check the concurrency limits and service commitments for the selected plan; Franklin has not measured uptime.

Protoface's catalog includes video generation and realtime avatars. Model availability, supported input formats, and output settings need checking in the relevant endpoint documentation. The homepage's promotional model descriptions alone do not prove output quality or that every provider capability is exposed through this service. Franklin has not benchmarked the platform.

Separate API usage from Studio subscriptions

The publisher says API usage is pay-as-you-go without a required subscription. It separately describes unlimited video plans in Protoface Studio for selected models. That qualification matters: an unlimited Studio offer is not a promise of unlimited API requests or access to every model.

The site's FAQ also says subscriptions are needed for features such as realtime avatars or unlimited video plans. Confirm the billing method for the exact product before building around a headline price. Review the selected subscription's fair-use and commercial-use terms before relying on an unlimited offer.

Evaluate the realtime-avatar integration

Protoface describes realtime avatars and custom avatar generation through its API. That makes it relevant to a developer adding a live visual character to an application, rather than someone exporting only a finished video clip.

The publisher attributes its pricing to inference optimization, model-specific GPU tuning, and compute partnerships. Those explanations are vendor claims, not an independent cost or latency comparison. An evaluation should inspect the avatar's response timing, synchronization, and interruption behavior in the intended application, alongside current endpoint pricing and data-handling terms.
