Build a web application through conversation

Lovable is an AI development platform for building and deploying web applications with natural-language instructions. Its official introduction describes generated applications with frontend, backend, database, authentication and integrations, backed by editable code. You describe the application, inspect what it builds and ask for changes.

The documented examples include internal tools, customer dashboards, booking applications and marketing websites. Pick a concrete first requirement, such as a dashboard that displays a specified data source. Review the result against that requirement before adding more features. These are proposed evaluation steps, not a report of hands-on testing or a guarantee that a generated application is ready for users.

Keep the project and team organized

Each Lovable project represents one application and contains its chat, preview, code and version history. A workspace holds projects, members, billing and a shared credit pool. One account can belong to multiple workspaces, so confirm where a project and its charges belong before inviting collaborators.

Lovable also describes chats outside projects for exploring ideas and working with connected tools. A chat can send building work to a project. That distinction is useful when separating early requirements discussion from changes to an actual application.

The platform supports shared workspaces and publishing applications to a live URL. Before publishing an internal tool or client project, review the data it uses and the access users should have. The documentation lists security checks and governance capabilities, but its broad security language does not establish that a particular generated application meets your organization's requirements.

Review the code and continue in your own workflow

Project codebases can sync to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. Lovable presents this as a route into existing engineering workflows, where teams can review, extend and maintain the generated code.

Use that route if you need your own release process or engineering review. Check the application behavior and generated changes before adopting them; code ownership and Git synchronization do not remove the need to verify what the application does.

The introduction says you can start for free and that plans are priced by credits rather than projects or seats. It does not provide a numerical free allowance or a complete cost schedule for the application you intend to run. Check the applicable plan and service costs before estimating a production budget.
