PixAI: AI Anime Art Generator

Anime illustrations in the browser

PixAI focuses on anime, manga and illustration rather than presenting itself as a general-purpose design suite. Its official overview describes a browser-based workflow: write a short description and generate an image without installing software. The service is built and operated by Mewtant and its Japan entity, Metanomaly Inc.

The publisher lists profile pictures, phone wallpapers and social sharing among its illustration uses. Original-character design is another supported task: choose a character's appearance, outfit and expression, then place that character into a scene or background. These are useful starting points for a personal illustration project; they are not evidence that every generated character will remain consistent across a series.

Editing and community setups

PixAI also accepts an existing image for style changes, retouching, upscaling or turning a sketch into a finished image. That makes the upload route worth considering when you already have a composition or rough drawing and want to revise it, rather than starting entirely from a text description.

Community models and LoRAs are part of the product. The overview says users can browse creators' work and reuse a shared setup with one click, then change it for their own project. Its current gallery displays tagged illustrations and an autocomplete input alongside generation controls. Treat those examples as inspiration, not as a guarantee that a particular prompt will reproduce another creator's result.

A useful first comparison

For a first evaluation, try one original-character description and one sketch you are entitled to upload. Compare whether the generated illustration follows the requested pose, clothing and background. Then make one targeted edit and inspect whether it preserves the details you wanted to keep. This is a suggested evaluation, not a hands-on test of PixAI.

The overview advertises daily free credits and links to membership and credit purchases. Check the current account limits before planning a large batch. A visible character tag or downloadable community setup does not, by itself, establish permission for a commercial project. Review the relevant terms and asset permissions separately. For account problems, PixAI directs users to the in-app support chat rather than its press and partnership email.
