Hive: an AI workspace for company knowledge, agents and approved workflows
A shared workspace for company AI
Hive presents itself as a company AI workspace combining chat, connected knowledge, custom agents and visual workflows. Its site describes giving employees access to multiple models while grounding work in business information, rather than keeping each conversation separate from the organization's sources.
The product's HiveMind component is described as a dated knowledge graph. Hive says answers show their source and date, making provenance a visible part of the workflow. This is a publisher claim about the interface and behavior; Franklin has not independently measured whether every answer cites complete or correct evidence.
Agents with a review step
The site describes agents that can perform recurring tasks, use integrations and APIs, and leave receipts of their activity. Visual workflows combine those steps with approval points. Hive explicitly says a team approves what goes out, a useful distinction when considering whether an agent is drafting material or taking an external action.
Its examples include business and finance workflows, but interface illustrations should not be treated as evidence that a customer achieved the displayed numbers. The relevant question for a prospective user is whether the same source access, task boundaries and approvals can be configured for their actual work.
Deployment and evaluation questions
Hive lists managed, own-cloud and on-premises deployment options. The captured site describes ISO 27001 and SOC 2 as in progress. That wording does not establish completed certification, and should remain separate from broader security marketing.
Franklin's suggested evaluation is one recurring task with a known source set and a named reviewer. Inspect the source dates, the activity receipt and the point at which approval is required. This makes it possible to assess whether the workspace preserves context and control across repeated runs, rather than judging it solely by the fluency of a chat answer.
