Postiz: agent-connected social scheduling with a review calendar
Postiz is a social media scheduling platform that supports human editors and connected AI agents. Its official product page says users can plan, generate and schedule posts for more than thirty networks while reviewing the work in one visual calendar. Supported connections include X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, among others.
Review each channel's version before release
The publisher describes writing a post once, choosing its destination channels and checking a preview for each one. Copy, media and hashtags can then be adjusted for the platform. A longer LinkedIn explanation and a shorter X post can share the same starting material without requiring identical final wording.
AI agents connect through a hosted MCP server, the Postiz CLI or supported connectors and plugins. The page says every plan includes agent access, a public API and webhooks. These access routes describe how another workflow can prepare and manage posts; they do not remove the need to set an appropriate approval policy.
For the asset-making stage, a creator might use a separate workspace such as Leonardo.Ai for prompted images and video concepts, then review those assets with the scheduled copy. Postiz also advertises its own generation tools, but their allowances depend on the plan. A connected calendar and an external visual generator solve different parts of the publishing job.
Repeat useful posts and read the results
Postiz supports recurring posts and RSS auto-posting. The FAQ says a repeated post remains visible in the calendar so users can edit or pause upcoming runs. That is useful for managing evergreen material, provided the offer or information still applies on the next release date.
Analytics come from each network's official insights API, according to the publisher. Available measurements differ by channel, so an absence of a metric should not be treated as a zero result. Assess the fields available for the accounts you intend to connect before building a reporting process around them.
Count connected accounts and choose hosted or self-hosted
Each connected social account uses one channel slot. Three Facebook pages therefore count as three channels, not one. The captured pricing starts at $29 per month for the hosted Standard plan with five channels; higher plans add channel capacity and team access. The hosted service offers a seven-day trial for $0 rather than a permanent free tier. Check current terms and generation allowances before buying.
Postiz also publishes an AGPL-3.0 self-hosted edition. The site says self-hosters handle infrastructure, updates, backups and developer-app approvals on the social networks themselves. Hosted and self-hosted operating responsibilities should be compared alongside subscription prices. Franklin has not connected an account or tested a publishing run for this overview.
