Distinguish models from the surrounding services
Amazon Nova is AWS's portfolio of AI models and services. The current overview separates Nova models, Nova Act and Nova Forge. Those offerings serve different development tasks, so a capability advertised for one should not automatically be attributed to the others.
Nova models are described as foundation models for text and multimodal needs. AWS positions the family for application development and customization. The overview says the technologies originated in Amazon's internal applications and are now available to AWS customers; it does not imply access to those internal applications themselves.
Build browser-workflow agents with Nova Act
Nova Act is presented as a service for building, deploying and managing agents that automate browser-based UI workflows. AWS describes it as powered by a custom Nova 2 Lite model. Its focus is computer-use automation, rather than a general consumer chat interface.
For a proposed workflow, inspect the steps the agent must perform and the controls around consequential actions. That is an evaluation suggestion, not a browser task completed here. The overview's reliability and implementation-speed language is promotional; this entry does not report a task-success benchmark or operational test.
Evaluate purpose-built models with Nova Forge
Nova Forge is described as a service for building your own frontier models using Nova. AWS positions it as an alternative to training a purpose-built model entirely from scratch. That is a separate route from selecting a foundation model for inference or deploying a browser agent.
The overview also advertises content filters, policy-aligned behavior and other responsible-use controls across the portfolio. These statements do not establish that a particular model or agent satisfies every requirement of your deployment.
Check the selected model and billing route
The Amazon Bedrock pricing page states that model pricing depends on modality, provider and model. It separates Nova understanding, creative-content and speech-related pricing areas. A price for one model or modality should not be treated as the cost of the complete Nova portfolio.
Start from the official Nova overview to identify the model or service relevant to your task, then inspect its deployment and billing documentation. This page does not supply unverified token rates, claim every service is free, or describe any model version as the latest. No AWS model, agent or training service was invoked.
