FlipTip helps resellers identify an item from a photo and estimate its secondhand value. It runs in a phone browser and provides an item match, a price range, and a Worth it or Skip verdict. Paid plans add completed-sale comparisons where available and tools for the work after buying an item.
Photos, local prices, and uncertainty
Quick Scan uses one photo of one item. Multi Scan accepts up to three photos of the same item, while Batch Scan identifies and ranks several items in one picture. Multi and Batch require Flipper or above.
On paid plans, FlipTip says it shows completed eBay sales where eBay is a local marketplace, plus Mercari and Poshmark sold prices in the US. Elsewhere, it uses local classifieds and recent listings. A completed-sale median and an asking-price estimate are different evidence, so inspect what the scan result actually supplies for your location.
The publisher says one-of-a-kind antiques can receive lower-confidence results and recommends a manual check. Counterfeit alerts flag visible warning signs; a clean result is not a certificate of authenticity. Compare the identified model and condition with the object in front of you before treating an estimated margin as a reason to buy.
Listing and tracking a purchase
Hustler and higher plans can generate a listing title, description, suggested price, and category. The profit dashboard tracks items as bought, for sale, or sold. You enter purchase and sale amounts along with fees, shipping, and packaging, and FlipTip calculates net profit and ROI. It totals each currency separately and supports CSV export.
Dealer adds a part-out calculator and AI Hunter. The latter monitors new eBay listings for a requested item, maximum price, and profit threshold, then emails matching deals where eBay coverage is supported.
Plans and the smart-glasses beta
New accounts receive a 30-day Hustler trial with three scans per day and no card required. Afterward, Free retains three daily scans with identification, a used-price estimate, and the verdict. Hustler costs $9.99 per month for 15 daily scans, Flipper $19.99 for 40, and Dealer $39.99 for 90.
Flipper also adds Treasure Radar, which overlays arrows and rough prices on the live phone camera. Smart-glasses mode is in beta for display glasses that can open web apps, with scanning still done by the phone. Hands-free scanning through the glasses' own camera is described as forthcoming, so it should not be assumed available when evaluating the current workflow.
