What it does

AI Excel Bot turns plain-English instructions into Excel and Google Sheets formulas and explains existing formulas step by step. It is meant for spreadsheet users who would rather describe what they need than work out complex formula syntax themselves.

Key features

  • Converts a written instruction into an Excel or Google Sheets formula
  • Explains a complex formula in plain English, step by step
  • Works without leaving Google Sheets or Excel

Use cases

  • Building a lookup or conditional formula you do not remember how to write
  • Understanding a formula inherited from someone else's spreadsheet
  • Speeding up routine data cleanup in Google Sheets

Getting started

Open your spreadsheet, launch the extension and describe the formula you need or paste a formula you want explained.

Good to know

Always test a generated formula on your own data before relying on it. Check its Chrome Web Store page for current terms.
