Copilot sidebar for Chrome

What it does

Copilot sidebar for Chrome is an unofficial port that opens Microsoft Copilot in Chrome's side panel, aware of the page you are viewing. It is for people who like the Copilot sidebar in Edge but browse mainly in Chrome.

Key features

• Opens Microsoft Copilot in the Chrome side panel next to any page
• Passes the context of the current web page to Copilot for questions about it
• Mirrors how the Copilot sidebar behaves in Microsoft Edge
• Publishes its source code publicly on GitHub

Use cases

• Asking Copilot to explain or summarize the article you are reading
• Using Copilot in Chrome without switching browsers

Getting started

Open Chrome's side panel and select the Copilot sidebar, then chat with Copilot about the page in front of you.

Good to know

This is not a Microsoft product, and it depends on Microsoft's Copilot service, so changes on Microsoft's side can affect how it works. Page content is shared with Copilot.
