Chrome extension

Lingocloud

Translates web pages, PDFs, images and video subtitles while keeping the original text above each translation, for reading foreign content.

What it does

Lingocloud translates webpages in Chrome and shows each translated paragraph directly beneath the original, along with tools for PDFs, images, comics and video subtitles. It is designed for people reading foreign news, papers, novels or comics and for language learners.

Key features

  • Bilingual page view with the original text and its translation stacked together
  • Translates text inside images on webpages, including comics
  • Translates PDF documents while trying to keep their layout
  • Translates video subtitles, such as on YouTube, plus selected text and input fields
  • Uses its own translation model alongside other AI models, with glossary support

Use cases

  • Reading an academic paper in another language while comparing both versions
  • Following a web novel or comic that has no official translation
  • Watching a foreign-language video with translated subtitles

Getting started

Click the Lingocloud icon on a page to show the bilingual translation, or use the PDF, image and subtitle options when you open those kinds of content.

Good to know

Text from the pages you translate is sent to AI translation models. Quality varies by language pair and subject matter.
