Prompt Genie (ChatGPT translator)

What it does

Prompt Genie is a third-party add-on for ChatGPT that translates the questions you type in your own language into English, then translates the answers back. It is meant for non-English speakers who want to write naturally while ChatGPT works in English.

Key features

• Translates prompts written in your language into English before sending them
• Translates ChatGPT's English answers back into your preferred language
• Adds a Ctrl+Enter or Cmd+Enter shortcut to translate the input box to English
• Includes a web connection option for asking questions with search results

Use cases

• Asking ChatGPT detailed questions in Korean or another non-English language
• Using ChatGPT comfortably when your English is limited
• Keeping long conversations in English behind the scenes while reading replies in your language

Getting started

Open ChatGPT after installing and type your question in your own language, and Prompt Genie handles translation in both directions. Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) to translate the input box to English on demand.

Good to know

It is not made by OpenAI and only works on the ChatGPT site. Machine translation can lose nuance, so double-check important answers.
