Голосовой блокнот (Speechpad)

Lets Russian-speaking users dictate and edit text by voice, convert audio files to text and translate speech into another language.

What it does

Speechpad (Golosovoy bloknot, Russian for voice notepad) lets you type and edit text by voice, transcribe audio files and translate speech into another language. It is designed primarily for Russian-speaking users who prefer dictation to typing.

Key features

  • Voice input and voice-driven editing of text
  • Converts recorded audio files into editable written text
  • Acts as a live speech-to-text translator into a chosen language
  • Can work with the clipboard to move dictated text elsewhere
  • Optional integration module for voice input into Windows applications

Use cases

  • Dictating a long document instead of typing it
  • Transcribing a recorded interview or voice memo
  • Getting a written translation of spoken Russian in another language

Getting started

Open the Speechpad notepad, allow microphone access and start dictating; install the separate integration module if you want voice input in Windows apps.

Good to know

The interface and documentation are in Russian. Voice input for other Windows apps needs an extra module from the developer.
