Transkriptor

Records online meetings and other audio in the browser and turns it into written transcripts and notes in many languages.

What it does

Transkriptor records online meetings and other conversations in Chrome and converts the audio into written transcripts and notes. It suits people who attend calls on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Webex and want a text record in one of many supported languages.

Key features

  • Records meetings on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex
  • Transcribes speech in many languages and dialects
  • Turns a recording into a transcript with one click after the meeting
  • Lets you edit the transcript to fix punctuation and grammar
  • Also available on the web, iOS and Android

Use cases

  • Keeping written minutes of a team call without a dedicated note-taker
  • Transcribing an interview recorded during a video meeting
  • Reviewing what was agreed in a multilingual meeting

Getting started

Press the record button in the extension before your meeting starts, then press Transcribe when it ends to get the text. The developer suggests a headset and a quiet setup for better results.

Good to know

Audio is uploaded to Transkriptor's service for transcription. Accuracy depends on audio quality, so background noise and echo can affect the result.
